My Cookbook is Now on Amazon!

In the madness of moving homes in Los Angeles, I didn’t have the time or brain capacity to post and celebrate the publication of the hardcover edition of my salad cookbookSalad Ballads. Yes, I moved again. Nomad will always be a nomad!

Writing a cookbook is damn hard. Period! Doing everything by yourself is even worse. Taking mouthwatering photos, drawing the cute illustrations, designing the layout, cover and typography is a torturous process. I didn’t have the stomach for rejection or the patience to wait until a publisher would agree to take on my book.

In fact, I might never have published it myself if not for my friend Karen, who was an editor and writer at Bon Appétit magazine for two decades, and a cookbook author. She helped me edit my book and also taught me how to write recipes clearly so you, the reader and cook, will have the best chance of success! You won’t find yourself wondering what I want from your life when following the recipe instructions.

And the work isn’t done! Now I have to get the cookbook out into the world and market it so it can pay for all the effort. There’s no money in food blogging, especially when you refuse to have ads on your site. My only way to earn money from food writing is by selling my cookbook.

This is where I need your help. If you love salads or want to become a salad lover, please consider getting a copy. And if you know anyone who might benefit from this book, I’d be so grateful if you’d share the link with them.

The salads in the book are beyond simple, but they’re bold and delicious. Anyone who buys this book will make these recipes repeatedly—I promise. They’ve become staples in my home, and I know they will in yours too. Even children love them.

I’d highly appreciate your review on Amazon after you’ve tried some recipes—your support means everything to independent creators like me.

Thank you so much!
